Coral Springs, Florida — A 20-year-old Florida man is facing multiple domestic violence charges after police say he assaulted his former girlfriend and later carried out a disturbing act of revenge by allegedly filling her backpack with human waste before dumping its contents on her.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Daniel Niemiec was arrested following a series of alleged incidents involving his ex-girlfriend that occurred during June at his apartment in Coral Springs.
Authorities say the allegations include domestic violence battery, domestic violence strangulation and a separate incident involving the woman’s personal belongings.
Woman Alleges Assault During Visit to Apartment
According to investigators, the woman told police she visited Niemiec’s apartment on June 2, where the two had consensual sex.
However, she alleged that during the encounter Niemiec repeatedly slapped her across the face and continued even after she asked him to stop.
Police say the woman later reported another confrontation during the early morning hours of June 30, when an argument allegedly escalated into violence.
According to the affidavit, she told investigators Niemiec strangled her, making it difficult for her to breathe before eventually releasing his grip.
The woman also claimed he laughed during the alleged assault.
Backpack Allegedly Filled With Human Waste
After the reported incident, the woman stayed with a friend before returning the following day to collect her belongings.
Police say she encountered Niemiec in the parking lot outside his apartment while he was holding her backpack.
According to investigators, Niemiec allegedly defecated and urinated inside the backpack, then added ketchup, hot sauce and other unknown fluids before dumping the contents onto his former girlfriend.
The incident led to additional allegations against the suspect as police continued their investigation.
Police Say Suspect Made Several Admissions
According to the affidavit, Niemiec allegedly admitted to slapping the woman during the earlier encounter, telling investigators he was “testing something new” and that it had “gotten out of hand.”
Police also allege he admitted to strangling the woman, saying he “has anger issues and sometimes cannot control it.”
Regarding the backpack, investigators say Niemiec admitted placing human waste inside because he believed it was “payback for her cheating.”

He reportedly told investigators he threw the backpack but could not remember exactly where all of its contents landed.
Case Moves Forward in Court
Authorities charged Niemiec with one count of domestic violence strangulation and two counts of domestic violence battery.
Court records indicate he has since been released after posting a $4,000 bond. As part of his release conditions, he is subject to electronic monitoring and must comply with a no-contact order involving the alleged victim.
It was not immediately clear whether Niemiec has entered a plea or retained legal representation.
The allegations outlined in the affidavit represent the prosecution’s claims. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
