EL MONTE, California — Family members have identified the 15-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed during a violent incident in El Monte that also left two other people injured, as investigators continue searching for answers and those responsible.

The victim, Aziel Zacapala, was remembered by loved ones as a talented student and athlete at Rosemead High School, whose life was tragically cut short. Authorities say the stabbing occurred Friday afternoon, and as of Sunday evening, no arrests had been made while the investigation remained active.

Family Remembers Promising Teenager

Relatives identified the victim as 15-year-old Aziel Zacapala, describing him as a bright young student with a promising future both academically and athletically.
