Buc-ee’s Announces Two New Store Openings This August—Here’s Where the Popular Travel Stop Is Expanding

San Marcos, Texas — Buc-ee’s is continuing its rapid expansion across the United States with two new store openings scheduled for August, giving travelers in Texas and Arkansas additional places to stop for fuel, food, and the chain’s signature shopping experience.

The popular Texas-based convenience store company confirmed that new travel centers will open in San Marcos, Texas, and Benton, Arkansas, as part of a long-term growth strategy that extends well into the next decade.

Known for its oversized travel centers, clean restrooms, barbecue, fresh snacks, and mascot Buc-ee Beaver, the chain continues adding locations across the country.

Two New Buc-ee’s Locations Opening in August

According to the company, the first opening is scheduled for Aug. 12 in San Marcos, Texas. Just a few days later, Buc-ee’s will officially open its newest Arkansas location in Benton on Aug. 17.

The company confirmed both opening dates as it continues expanding beyond its home state of Texas.

The August openings follow several recent milestones for the retailer, including the debut of its first Ohio location in Huber Heights earlier this year and its first Arizona location in Goodyear.

Company Continues Expanding Across the U.S.

Buc-ee’s has grown significantly since opening its first store in Texas in 1982. Today, the company operates 56 locations across 13 states, with Texas remaining home to the largest concentration of stores.

Its travel centers have developed a loyal following among motorists thanks to their extensive fuel stations, large retail spaces, fresh food offerings, and reputation for exceptionally clean facilities.

The retailer has steadily expanded into new markets as demand for its travel centers continues to grow.

More Store Openings Already Planned

The August openings represent just part of Buc-ee’s ambitious expansion strategy. The company has already confirmed another new location opening later this year:

Buc-ee’s Popularity Continues to Grow

Buc-ee’s has become one of the country’s most recognizable travel stop brands, attracting visitors well beyond traditional convenience store customers.

Many travelers make dedicated stops to shop for exclusive merchandise, sample freshly prepared foods, and browse the retailer’s wide selection of snacks and gifts.

The chain’s continued expansion reflects its growing popularity as it introduces the Buc-ee’s experience to more communities across the United States.

With additional stores already planned through 2031, the company shows no signs of slowing its nationwide growth.
