Orange County, California — Jamba is taking a major step beyond smoothies by testing an all-new lineup of handcrafted sandwiches, and Orange County has been chosen as the only California county where customers can try them before a nationwide rollout. The limited-time test gives local diners an exclusive opportunity to sample the new menu while helping the company decide which items could eventually become permanent offerings.
Orange County Selected as Exclusive California Test Market
Known for its smoothies, juices, and bowls, Jamba is expanding into freshly made sandwiches as part of its latest menu innovation.
The company announced that Orange County is one of only a handful of test markets nationwide where guests can purchase the new sandwiches and provide feedback.
Customer reactions during the trial will play an important role in determining whether the sandwiches are added to Jamba menus across the country in the future.
The test is scheduled to continue through Oct. 14.
Seven New Sandwiches Join the Menu
The new lineup offers a variety of savory and sweet options designed for lunch or a quick meal on the go.
Customers can choose from:
- Rotisserie Chicken Avo Ranch with rotisserie chicken, avocado, white cheddar, provolone, spinach, bacon, and ranch on ciabatta.
- Rotisserie Chicken Pesto featuring chicken, roasted tomato, spinach, white cheddar, provolone, and pesto mayo on ciabatta.
- J.B.S.T., Jamba’s version of a BLT, made with bacon, roasted tomato, spinach, and mayonnaise on sliced sourdough.
- Market Pesto, a vegetarian option with roasted tomato, spinach, white cheddar, provolone, and pesto mayo on ciabatta.
- Cheese Melt, made with white cheddar and provolone on sourdough.
- Blueberry Dipper Cheese Melt, served with a blueberry-mango dipping sauce for a sweet twist.
- PB Nutella Crunch, featuring peanut butter, Nutella, banana, and granola on sourdough.
The expanded selection is designed to complement Jamba’s existing beverage lineup while offering customers more complete meal choices.
Where Customers Can Find the New Sandwiches
The sandwich test isn’t available at every Jamba location.
According to the company, 95 stores nationwide are participating in the trial across California, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona.
Within California, Orange County is the only county included in the test.
Company information indicates that five participating Jamba locations are located in the city of Orange, giving local customers the first chance to sample the new menu before any broader release.
Jamba Says Menu Expansion Reflects Customer Demand
Company executives say the sandwich launch is part of Jamba’s effort to serve customers beyond breakfast and snack occasions.
Kate Morgan, Jamba’s vice president of marketing, said the handcrafted sandwiches are “a natural extension of the Jamba experience,” providing guests with another convenient lunch option while maintaining the brand’s focus on fresh ingredients.
She added that the launch represents an important step in Jamba’s continued evolution, allowing the company to expand its menu while staying true to the experience customers expect.
Whether the sandwiches become a permanent addition will largely depend on customer feedback collected during the limited-time trial, making Orange County diners some of the first to help shape Jamba’s future menu.
