Los Angeles’ Iconic Canter’s Deli is Selling Its Famous Pastrami Sandwich for Just 95 Cents—But Only for One Night

Los Angeles, California — One of Los Angeles’ most iconic restaurants is giving customers a rare chance to enjoy its legendary pastrami sandwich for less than a dollar as it celebrates a major milestone.

Canter’s Deli, a longtime Fairfax District favorite and one of Southern California’s best-known Jewish delis, will mark 95 years in Los Angeles by offering a 95-cent pastrami meal during a special one-night anniversary celebration.

The limited-time promotion is expected to draw longtime customers and first-time visitors eager to celebrate the deli’s decades-long history.

Here’s When You Can Get the 95-Cent Deal

The anniversary special will be available Monday, Aug. 3, from 6 p.m. until midnight. The promotion is available for dine-in customers only, and each guest will be limited to one order while supplies last.

According to the deli, the anniversary meal includes:

  • A hot pastrami sandwich
  • Coleslaw
  • A pickle
  • A chocolate chip rugelach

For customers who prefer a meat-free option, Canter’s says the pastrami can be replaced with Mrs. Goldfarb’s plant-based corned beef, allowing more guests to take part in the celebration.

A Los Angeles Landmark for Nearly a Century

Located at 419 N. Fairfax Ave., Canter’s Deli has become one of Los Angeles’ most recognizable dining destinations since establishing its presence in the city during the 1930s.

Over the decades, the restaurant has built a reputation for its classic Jewish deli favorites, late-night dining and long history of serving generations of Angelenos as well as countless visitors.

Today, the business remains family-owned and continues to preserve the traditions that helped make it a local institution.
