Publix Announces New Kentucky Store Opening Among Five New Locations Nationwide

Cold Spring, Kentucky — Grocery shoppers in Northern Kentucky now have another option as Publix continues expanding its footprint across the region with the opening of a new store in Campbell County.

The supermarket chain has announced a series of store openings across the Southeast, with Kentucky receiving one of five new locations scheduled to open between June and early July. The move reflects the company’s continued growth as it expands beyond its traditional Florida base and strengthens its presence in newer markets.

New Publix Store Opens in Northern Kentucky

The newest Kentucky Publix location officially opened on June 17 at 5401 Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring. Located in Campbell County, the city sits just southeast of Cincinnati and serves as a growing residential area in Northern Kentucky.

The opening gives residents another full-service grocery option while expanding Publix’s reach in the commonwealth.

The company has steadily increased its Kentucky presence in recent years as demand for new grocery options continues to grow throughout the state.

Publix Continues Growing in Kentucky

With the addition of the Cold Spring store, Publix continues building its Kentucky network.

The grocer currently operates stores in Louisville, Lexington, and Walton, serving customers across several of the state’s largest population centers.

The company has also indicated that additional Kentucky locations are in development, signaling further expansion plans in the state.

Publix now operates more than 1,400 stores across eight states, making it one of the largest employee-owned supermarket chains in the United States.

Kentucky isn’t the only state seeing new Publix locations this summer. The company has also scheduled four additional store openings in Florida between June and early July.

  • Winter Haven — June 18
  • Davenport — June 25
  • Fernandina Beach — July 2
