Senior Sharon Chumlea is a singer and an actor who will be starring in the role of Fairy Godmother in the upcoming production of “Cinderella.” 

Chumlea is no stranger to the stage, as she landed the lead role of Sophie in “Mamma Mia” as a sophomore.

“Playing Sophie challenged me to believe in myself,” Chumlea said. 

Chumlea has been acting since third grade and singing since she was very young. She has performed in over 20 shows throughout her school career.

Chumlea works hard during her performances before even getting on stage. She likes to get accustomed to the character that she will be playing by watching the original movie and listening to the music. 

Chumlea wants to continue with performances and acting after she graduates and goes onto college.

“Sharon is such a genuine person and always has a smile on her face,” senior Ella Viera said.
