Counselor Pamela Geiser will retire at the end of the school year. She has worked in the school district for 24 years at both here and Webster Middle School.
“I love working here. I love working with [the students],” Geiser said, but she and her husband recently moved out of Cedarburg, and “the distance is getting to be too much.”
Since her daughter Emily recently graduated from law school and her son Evan is currently in the Marines, Geiser is looking forward to having more flexibility to visit her family. Her son is currently stationed in Japan, so the first thing she and her husband plan to do is take a trip to to see him.
“She genuinely seems like she cares how you feel, she’s just genuine to all her students,” junior Gianna McConnel said.
Junior Addy Macsurak and senior Rue Mamaieva appreciate how she makes time for students and asks how they are.
“It has been a really, really amazing time and we loved living in Cedarburg,” Geiser said. “I think we’re ready for the next adventure, the next things to do, whatever those might be.”
