Senior Zach Brown is not your typical senior. He has already started on his path toward a successful career, even while in high school.
With a mind for business, he is already in the process of starting up his own real estate company.
“When Zach talked about his aspirations and goals during a practice interview in my Journalism class, he did not sound like someone who is still in high school,” English teacher Heather Vande Sande said. “It’s unique for a senior to have so much business experience already and to have such a specific plan for the future.”
Brown has been applying to colleges and is excited to begin his college career, describing it as a “different ball game.” In college, he plans to major in business or marketing.
After college, Brown said he wants to move to a big city to make connections for his business. He plans to get a job and continue to network, while keeping his real estate company in his “back pocket.”
Brown is currently working for a real estate company in Milwaukee, where he scopes out vacant houses and gets a commission for finding a property the company ends up purchasing.
In addition to working part-time, Brown enjoys playing basketball. He has played since attending FIL and has continued throughout high school. He said the sport does cause mental and physical stress. “It just kills my body,” he said.
