About Common Sense

Common Sense is published by students and Cedarburg High School to inform, persuade, entertain and provide a journalistic experience for students.

Common Sense is the Cedarburg High School newspaper. Common Sense, an award-winning newspaper, has been a member of Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA) since 2000. NEWSPA has been serving high school students around Wisconsin since 1969.

Letters to the editorĀ  may be submitted to [email protected]. Letters must be signed and may not exceed 200 words. Editors reserve the right to edit libelous material.

Students enrolled in Journalism, an English elective class, may contribute to Common Sense, but the newspaper is an extracurricular activity. Any student may join the Common Sense.

Journalism teacher Heather Vande Sande has been the adviser of Common Sense since 2000.
